JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The City of Johnson City’s new website is up and running, city leaders announced Monday.

According to a news release from the city, the new website is more user-friendly, better organized and features a fresh design.

The previous website was built in 2019. The city decided to revamp the site, particularly due to the majority of people using their mobile devices for business in lieu of a desktop. City leaders wanted to make the site more conducive to mobile users.

“In an effort to enhance communication with our citizens, the Communications and Marketing Department has launched a new and improved website. This platform is designed to offer information in a straightforward, logical, and user-friendly manner,” Public Affairs Director Keisha Shoun said in the release. “Our goal is for all visitors to easily find the information they need within just a few clicks.”

Search results may show information from the former site for a short time until search engines index the new information.

The website can be accessed by clicking here.
