JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A J. Crew Factory store appears set to occupy a 5,050-square-foot space in the Mall at Johnson City, according to a recently pulled building permit.

The permit, issued June 19, is for an $850,000 renovation of Unit C1 at the mall. An associated set of plans shows J. Crew Factory store 4064 as the occupant.

While the mall’s corporate owners, Washington Prime, wouldn’t confirm the news, they did offer this quote: “We are thrilled with all the recent activity at The Mall at Johnson City including our announcement of MINISO and Pandora, as well as the additions of FYE, Windsor Fashions and Little Bloom House. We will announce new retailers once we are able.”

The building permit is in effect for 180 days.

News Channel 11 has reached out to J. Crew for confirmation. The nearest J. Crew Factory stores are in Asheville, N.C. and Knoxville.

    J. Crew Factory describes its stores as offering an “exclusive collection of colorful, classic styles at prices that can’t be beat.”
