JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A trash spill was cleaned off of Okolona Road in Johnson City on Saturday after a tractor-trailer simultaneously blew two tires and flipped while exiting an Interstate 26 off ramp. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

According to a Johnson City police officer that News Channel 11 spoke to on site, the truck was turning left out of the Exit 27 westbound off ramp onto Okolona Road at around 7:30 a.m. when two tires blew. This caused the truck to flip and its load of trash to spill in that area of the roadway.

Carter Co. inmate Billy Fletcher charged with murder in connection to Victor Birchfield’s disappearance

Police closed the area off while trash was cleared off of the ground and the truck was turned right-side up. The JCPD said traffic was directed to drive around the cleanup effort.

The JCPD said nobody was injured as a result of the crash.
