    Two Quillen VA Medical Center officials temporarily reassigned amid investigation

    JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two leaders at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center have been have been temporarily reassigned amid an ongoing investigation, according to a VA spokesperson.

    The spokesperson confirmed that “a temporary leadership transition happened earlier this week” and that the VA referred separate allegations of wrongdoing and failure to follow VA processes properly for investigation.

    As a result of the investigation, James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Director Dean Borsos was detailed to the VA MidSouth Healthcare System network director’s office and Associate Director Dr. Colleen Noe was temporarily detailed to the Veterans Integrated Services Network office in Nashville, according to the spokesperson.

    Dr. Harold Dillon is now the acting medical center director and Jonah Seymore is the acting associate director.

    “VA strives to create a workplace where all voices feel heard and valued, and where sustained allegations of misconduct are promptly and effectively addressed,” the spokesperson said. “Our number one goal is to provide Veterans with the world-class health care they deserve.”

    According to the spokesperson, no leadership team members have been arrested and no one is under investigation for criminal activity.

    The spokesperson was unable to comment further due to the ongoing investigation.
