Lady Vols conclude volleyball camp at Science Hill

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Tuesday marked the second and final day of the Tennessee Lady Vols’ volleyball camp at the home of the Hilltoppers.

For a third-straight summer, UT brought some of its coaches and players to Johnson City to lead a competitive and instructional camp for the Lady Toppers.

This year, West Ridge High School’s squad also participated, as well as the middle school teams at Liberty Bell and Indian Trail.

Science Hill varsity volleyball coach, Laura Cook, loves to see the players soak up every ounce of knowledge they can from their guests.

“They love the new drills, they love getting to talk to the current players and ask them questions about college life and playing at that level,” she said. “It’s just been really good for our kids to see them and interact with them.”

The Lady Toppers’ season is fast-approaching, as they open the 2024 campaign at Greeneville on August 19.
