Peach Festival Royalty Crowned
The 82nd annual Johnson County Peach Festival competitions were held Thursday through Saturday nights, July 11-13, at the Clarksville School Fine Arts Center. Waiting At The Train Station: Peach Fest 2024
WAITING AT THE TRAIN STATION–These cousins, (from left) Layton Williams, Dylan Pearson, Brayden Pearson, Brynnley Champion, and Walker Williams, are waiting at the train station for the start of the 82nd annual Johnson County Peach Festival. The festivities of the yearly event will begin with the pageants on Thursday through Saturday, July 11-13, at the Clarksville School Fine Arts Center. Parents of Layton Williams and Walker Williams are Bradley and Chelsey Williams of Clarksville while Brynnley Champion is the daughter of Chelsey and Bradley Williams of Clarksville and Casey and Adrianne Champion of Charleston. Brad and Darcy Pearson of Clarksville are the parents of Dylan Pearson and Brayden Pearson. The children and their families invite everyone to attend and participate in any or all of the numerous activities which will be held from Wednesday through Sunday, July 17-21. They added that the schedule of the events is printed elsewhere in this issue of The Graphic. These families have been participating in the festival for several years as the mothers, Darcy and Chelsey, who were known as the “Hobbs Twins,” were crowned Princess Elberta at the Johnson County Peach Festival pageant in 1993. The theme of this year’s festival is “Peach Passport.”
