Police continued on the afternoon of June 24 to search for a Johnson County man who escaped from the custody of the Floyd County Detention Center. According to Prestonsburg Police Chief Ross Shurtleff, on June 23, Thomas Price, 37, of Ky. 40 East, Williamsport, who was in custody of the Floyd County Detention Center, was transported to Highlands Regional ARH to receive treatment for a false illness.
