Johnson County Transfer Station Notice - As of July 3, 2023, there will be an upward adjustment in the tipping fees at the Johnson County Transfer station. The current cost of $60.00 per ton to dump will change to $75.00 per ton. The minimum for small loads will remain at $5.00 for up to 130 lbs. The tire disposal fee will be $180.00 per ton. The new fee schedule is due to the change in cost that the County incurs in providing this service to our residents and businesses.

BUTLER — The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has reported on Saturday that a search operation has recovered human remains. Shawn Brown, chief deputy for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said the remains were recovered from the Butler community of Johnson County.
