In November 2001, the remains of an unidentified newborn, later named "Angel Baby Doe," were discovered between the towns of Alvarado and Burleson. The infant was found wrapped in a jacket with the umbilical cord still attached, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. The child was determined to be a female who had been born alive and had recently died.
