City of Fairbury close to banning outdoor water usage
FAIRBURY, Neb - The City of Fairbury is asking its residents to conserve outdoor water usage again with even more restrictions in place. Fairbury Mayor Spencer Brown has implemented a stage 2 water emergency, which limits the time of day outdoor water usage can happen. For the past month or more residents with odd-numbered addresses were asked to water on odd days, and even addresses on even days. With the new requirements, water usage can only happen between 9 PM and 10 AM.
Man arrested after knife attack at Columbus motel
COLUMBUS, Neb. (KOLN) - A man was arrested following a knife attack at a Columbus motel. Columbus Police officers were dispatched to a fight at the Sundown Motel on Thursday evening. Officers found the suspect, Julio Alberto Lozano, 49, in the basement of the guesthouse, where he was assessed by the fire department for injuries.
