State grants available to small businesses
POINT PLEASANT — The borough of Point Pleasant is anticipating a major facelift along its commercial corridors over the next few years, and the mayor and council are encouraging local businesses to get in on the changes. The mayor shared next steps to be taken, which will carry on the momentum of plans to reduce traffic congestion by eliminating the head-on parking at Lenny’s Colonial Ranch and installing a public parking lot at the Tree Needle Road triangle.
Summer Youth Basketball Camp Coming to Elizabeth
ELIZABETH, NJ - The Mayor J. Christian Bollwage Summer Youth Basketball Camp is making its return to the City of Elizabeth. The camp is open to male and female basketball players ages 7-15 and is directed by Elizabeth Boys Basketball Head Coach Phil Colicchio. Council approves cut-it-and-leave-it policy
POINT PLEASANT BEACH — The Point Pleasant Beach mayor and council approved a resolution supporting a cut-it-and-leave-it environmental policy in the borough, where homeowners are being encouraged to leave grass clippings on their lawns after mowing. This statewide initiative is intended to both save homeowners money on municipal waste pickup as well as divert the clippings away from solid waste streams, according to a press release about the resolution from the Point Pleasant Beach Environmental Commission.
