Dillon Elementary School will open on Aug. 5 for students, according to an announcement from Dillon School District 4. Body discovered in Sumter County on Sunday afternoon; investigation underway
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies are joining the Sumter County coroner in the investigation of a body found on Sunday afternoon. According to a Sumter County Sheriff's Office spokesperson, the body was found sometime in the mid-afternoon off Highway 15 South near Clarendon County. Authorities said the body was found in a wooded area but didn't give the exact location due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

The City consulted with engineers and determined a systematic flushing initiative should resolve the issue.
