Ag Center remains open amid road closure

SMITHFIELD — The Johnston County Agricultural Center remains open despite the road closure near its building on N.C. 210.

The N.C. Department of Transportation is replacing the bridge over Middle Creek, requiring the closure of N.C. 210 between Swift Creek and Galilee roads for 13 months.

The Agricultural Center remains accessible from N.C. 210 eastbound. Motorists will need to drive cautiously through the “Road Closed to Thru Traffic” barricade at Galilee Road and N.C. 210 to reach the Ag Center.

As a reminder, map applications on smartphones might not be updated to provide the correct route to the building at this time.
