Remodeling Contractor Accused Of Defrauding Johnston County Family
SMITHFIELD – A remodeling contractor using a stolen identity is accused of defrauding a Johnston County family. Carlton Seymour Andrean, age 50, formerly of Clayton, NC had reportedly been on the run for several years. He was recently located in South Carolina and returned to Johnston County on June 26, 2024 and formally charged.

Ned Wilson Daughtry was born in Johnston County on June 7th, 1941, to the late William Herbert Daughtry and Margaret Louise Pilkington Daughtry. He married his wife of 62 years, Rachel Lee Johnson on July 5th, 1961. They had two children, Terry Wilson Daughtry and Portia Gay Daughtry, and raised them in their hometown of Smithfield.

ANGIER – Two people were arrested on multiple drug charges after a robbery was reported outside their home.
