Mum charged after baby left 'decaying' for over a month found in plastic bag at park
A 22-year-old mum has been charged after her "decaying" baby was found dead inside a "plastic bag" for over a month at a park in Massachusetts. Daniela Michell Escobar-Mejia has been accused of abandoning her infant son's body at Fort Taber in New Bedford in 2023 after the baby was discovered in a plastic bag wrapped in a blanket by a woman and her niece.

BROCKTON − A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting on Vesey Street. Police radio transmissions stated that there were masked men dressed in all black clothing and that eight shots had been fired. A Brockton man was held without bail after being arraigned on charges that he fatally stabbed a Fall River man inside a city park. Taste of Rhode Island Hosts Summer Series Event
Taste of Rhode Island, a celebration of Rhode Island’s great food, local spirits and live entertainment, returned to the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick with its Summer Series on June 5. The event, produced by Pat Paolino Cruz, Pat Cruz Events, and Lupe Aguilar, Rhody Foody, showcased more than 50 of the state’s best restaurants, bakeries and caterers alongside local and regional wineries, distilleries and breweries. Guests were treated to live music, cooking demonstrations, a red carpet, and photo booth opportunities and a chance to vote for their favorite tastes along with celebrity guest judges. VIP ticket holders received early admission, swag bags with treats and access to a separate VIP lounge area. Taste of Rhode Island corporate sponsors included The Perry Group and Luke Renchan Entertainment. The event supports Rhode Island-based nonprofit MAE Organization for the Homeless.
