Free exercise classes to be held at Johnstown park

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — Roxbury Park is going to look a lot different on Tuesday. That’s because the park will have a unique day of outdoor exercise classes hosted by MorGainz Elite Cycle , in partnership with Galliker’s Dairy .

The activities will include two outdoor spin classes at the bandshell and a serene night-time “Barre Under the Stars” exercise class.

MorGainz Elite Cycle said that these sessions offer an opportunity for people of all fitness levels to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting while engaging in high-energy spin classes and a relaxing and tranquil barre class.

“I think health and wellness is very important and it’s something that if this is what it takes to get someone who might not normally come to an exercise class, if having an outdoor class and a fun environment in a bustling park with the community, if that’s what it takes to get someone to sign up for a class, then absolutely, that’s something we’ll pursue,” Phoenix Stratemeier, Owner of MorGainz Elite Cycle said.

The event will take place between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

There will be free water, lemonade provided by Galliker’s, bananas, and sunscreen at the event. Additionally, MorGainz Elite Cycle will be giving away free classes at their spin + barre studio, for anyone who wants to continue their fitness journey.

“We would like to do more destination classes in the future, but we don’t have anything confirmed just yet, so we would encourage people to stay tuned on our social media accounts,” Stratemeier said.
