    UPDATE: Missing woman in Cambria County found safe

    UPDATE: Laverne Kinkhead was located and is safe, according to Pennsylvania State Police.


    CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a woman that they said was last seen on Wednesday.

    Laverne Kinkhead, 77, was last seen on July 24 at approximately 9:15 p.m. on the 500 block of Groucher Street in Johnstown. She’s described as being 5’2”, 150 lbs. and having gray hair.

    She is operating a silver 2001 Kia Rio with red pinstripes and a registration of LNJ1716. Police believe that Kinkhead may be at special risk of harm or injury.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately by calling 911 or the Upper Yoder Township Police Department at 814-472-2100.
