BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Shreveport artist has designed the new “I Voted” sticker for this year’s election. Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry will show the commissioned design at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8 at the Old Governor’s Mansion. William Joyce, the artist and Academy Award winner, will be at the unveiling.

LDWF issues citations to illegal immigrants for illegally catching 120 red snapper
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) cited six individuals for illegally catching 120 red snapper of which 97 were undersized which could bring thousands of dollars in fines. 33-year-old Encarnacion Lopez of Chalmette along with 39-year-old Juan Lopez, 30-year-old Oscar Ofion, 45-year-old Armando Aguilar, 27-year-old Yony Martinez and 46-year-old Mario Castro who were illegal immigrants were issued citations. Indiana and Illinois Arby’s Locations Affected by Franchisee Bankruptcy
After filing for bankruptcy, a small Arby's franchisee is selling some locations and closing others. Miracle Restaurant Group LLC, a company based out of Louisiana has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
