Kids learn about fire safety for library story time
Members of the Gatesville Fire Department recently visited the Gatesville Public Library for their weekly “story time” hour. After learning about fire safety from Gatesville firefighters, children and their parents stopped by the fire station for a tour and to explore the fire trucks. The library hosts “story time” for pre-K and elementary ages on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.

Ethan Sandell Memorial Tennis Tournament held July 13
On July 13, Gatesville Tennis hosted the annual Ethan Sandell Memorial Open Tennis Tournament. There were representatives from Brownwood, Waco, China Spring, Crawford, Whitney, Shoemaker, and many from Gatesville. Gatesville had entries from the following graduating classes: 2012, 2021, 2022, 2023 as well as two eighth grade girls playing doubles. Bell County man indicted in baby kidnapping
