Kids try instruments at Musical Petting Zoo
Dozens of children enjoyed the opportunity to try their hands at playing stringed instruments, gleefully taking bow to strings and creating their own tunes. James Clarkson, CEO of New Horizon School of the Arts put on what he called a Musical Petting Zoo show Tuesday starting at 2 p.m. at the Copperas Cove Library as part of the library’s ongoing Summer Reading Program.
CCISD opening enrollment center next week
Copperas Cove ISD will open an enrollment center, to provide a one-stop shop for parents of new and returning students. From Monday through Friday, July 22-26, CCISD staff members will be in the cafeteria at Copperas Cove High School, not only to help parents enroll their students for the 2024-25 school year, but to answer any questions they may have.

Crowd turns out for regional career fair in Copperas Cove
Job seekers trailed in and out of the Civic Center in a steady stream taking advantage of the opportunity to learn more about the dozens of jobs available in our area.
