JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) – The community gathered at Jonesborough’s weekly Brews and Tunes event on Sunday.

Brews and Tunes takes place every Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the plaza in front of the International Storytelling Center. Each week, a different craft beer is showcased for attendees to enjoy while they listen to live music from local artists and bands. There is also a rotating food truck every week.

News Channel 11 spoke with Sam Love, an administrator, who said the event is a fun place to “bring your family and just kind of hang out.”

“What we do is we incorporate some regional [and] local breweries,” said Love. “So, we have something kind of from this area on tap. And then I also book music that will cater to a little bit of every genre. So, there’s something for everyone here,

This week, Brews and Tunes welcomed Jakob Jovet on the stage.

“It’s always so much fun to bring different people together,” Love said. “But tonight’s Jacob Jovet, and so he’s a singer-songwriter, and he also does a lot of classic rock covers. But we’ve had everything from indie rock to some jazzy groups and a lot of bluegrass and country.

Love invites the community to join the fun every Sunday until September.

“Well, if you ever happen to find yourself free on a Sunday [and] want to have a fun time with your family and grab a brew and hear a tune, come join us.”
