JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — Jonesborough water customers are being asked to conserve water due to dry and hot weather conditions.

In a release, the town said the Jonesborough Water Distribution Department “is working around the clock to ensure every customer has clean potable water to cook and clean with.”

The town is asking customers not to use any unnecessary water at this time, such as watering plants or washing cars.

“Until Jonesborough can receive beneficial rain and cooler temperatures, it would be extremely helpful if customers could help with conserving water at this time,” the town said in the release.
