Municipal election filing ends Friday at noon

Municipal election filing is underway for Jonesville, East Bend and Boonville. The filing period began July 5 and will conclude at 12 noon on Friday, July 19

Filing thus far, as of press time, were incumbent David Cox for Boonville Town Commissioner; and incumbents Tracy Wall, Regina Adkins and Michael Tilley for Jonesville Town Council.

For Boonville there are three commissioner seats up for election. They are currently held by Cox, Dwaine Dobbins and Monica Craver.

Jonesville's three council members up for re-election have filed so far.

In East Bend, there are also three commissioner seats up for grabs as well as the mayoral seat. The commissioner seats are currently held by Eddy Venable, Larry Adams and Kurt Held. James Dunn is the current East Bend Mayor.

Municipal elections are non-partisan and will be on the November ballot in their respective precincts.
