Tractor trailer overturns I-49 in rainy conditions south of Joplin

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. ( KOAM) — About 9:30 a.m. Monday reports of a tractor trailer overturned near 38 mile marker I-49 alerted Newton County E-911.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Deputies, Newton County Ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol and MoDOT were notified.

The tractor trailer blocked northbound during lane and lay overturned mostly in median.

There were other crashes and vehicles involved. We are working to find out more information. KOAM's Shannon Becker was live at the scene.

Conditions wet and showers falling at the time of the crash(es).

Currently we are told no reports of injuries.

M&M Wrecker are working to remove the crash. As of 11:55 a.m. the northbound is reduced to one lane, backed up for mile +.
