JOPLIN, MO – The Joplin Outlaws fell to Fort Smith 15-8 in the opener of a four game homestand.

Joplin’s Ravaughn Morgan would get the Outlaws on the board first with a single into left field. Morgan’s base hit would bring home Brett Sarwinski. The bats for the Outlaws would stay hot in the first, as they would take a 4-0 advantage heading into the second inning.

Fort Smith, however, would answer in the top half of the second. The Marshals would go on to score five unanswered to take the lead 5-4. Joplin would manage to have a strong second inning, but ultimately, it wouldn’t be enough as the Outlaws fell 15-8.

Up next, Joplin will take on Fort Smith in game two on Friday, June 28th at 7:05 p.m.
