City of Joplin is hiring; MAPS/Trolley Drivers and Video Specialist

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) — Last evening the new City of Joplin Marketing & Communications Director Drew Douglas updated The Council on projects in the new department.

One of those is building new staff including the position of Video Specialist. Pay can range up to $47,000.

VIDEO SPECIALIST FOR CITY OF JOPLIN

“The City of Joplin is looking for an experienced videographer to join the Marketing & Communications Department. This person will be responsible for planning productions, capturing high quality audio & video, editing, motion graphics, closed captioning, and delivering videos on weekly deadlines for the community to view. News, documentary, and commercial video production experience are all considered relevant experience.”

Recently the City of Joplin reminded online they continue to have a need for drivers. They can earn up to $34,000.

TRANSIT DRIVER II – MAPS/TROLLEY DRIVER

Operates a public transit vehicle to transport passengers on specified routes or manifests. Makes pick-ups and drop-offs for riders, including many who may be elderly or disabled.

• Minimum Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience: Professional driving experience, with a good driving record, is required.

Licenses and Certifications: Possess and maintain a Class E Operator’s License. Preferred: Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the passenger and airbrake endorsements.
