    Joplin School District offers free meals to students to help with food insecurities

    Joplin, MO – Joplin Public Schools are fighting the fight against food insecurities for students by offering free summer meals at the Joplin Public Library every day through August 13th. They will be serving lunches such as sandwiches and chips. Students must be 18 or under and they don't have to attend a Joplin school to qualify for the free meal. Lunches at the Joplin Public Library will be served from 11 a.m. to 11:30 or while supplies last.

    Joplin, MO – Hope City Church hosted Light Up the City yesterday. The event featured food trucks, fireworks, and a fun family atmosphere. Event organizers say they're excited by how much the event has grown over the years. Event organizers say the high point of the night for them is bringing families a good time.

    4 States – The KOAM and Arvest Bank teamed up for the flag swap yesterday. anyone with an old tattered American Flag could come out and swap it for a new one, for free. the old flags will be retired according to the U.S. Flag code. the next flag swap will take place on August 28th at Westco in Neosho Missouri.
