    Former MSSU Lion Rajindra Campbell Going to 2024 Paris Olympics to Represent Jamaica

    KINGSTON, JM — Former Missouri Southern Lions Rajindra Campbell will be heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics to represent his home country of Jamaica to compete in the Men’s Shot Put.

    At the Jamaican Olympic Trials, Campbell took home first with a throw of 20.01 meters.

    Campbell spent three seasons with the Lions from 2018-2021.

    During that time he was the 2020 MIAA Indoor Shot Put Champion.

    He earned All-American honors in the Shot Put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships back in 2019.

    Currently right now, Campbell is ranked 10th among Men’s Shot Put World Rankings.

    In 2023, Campbell won the Jamaican National Title throwing a personal best of 21.31 meters.

    The qualification for the Men’s Shotput will take place on August 2nd with the finals taking place August 3rd.
