Traffic Alert I-44 west closed at Missouri to Oklahoma state line due to fatal crash

OTTAWA COUNTY, Okla. (KOAM) — About 5:30 a.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol requested Missouri authorities to close westbound I-44 at the state line due to a fatal crash investigation.

The crash occurred a short time earlier about 3 miles from the state line.

“ All westbound lanes are closed on the Will Rogers Turnpike at mile marker 325 due to a fatality collision. Traffic is being diverted at the Missouri State Line by Joplin .” — OHP
