    A Rollover crash closes part of I-44 early Sunday morning

    Joplin, MO – A rollover crash closes part of I-44 near the main street exit early Sunday morning. Joplin police say a westbound pickup truck went off the road and struck a rock cliff, overturning violently. The driver was the sole occupant and was rushed to an area hospital listed in critical condition. An investigation is currently ongoing.

    Joplin, MO – Mayor Keenan Cortez made a visit to Zinc Coffee over the weekend and invited community members to come and talk to him one-on-one. The event was held in hopes of making public officials more accessible to residents. Mayor Cortez says he hopes these conversations can help bridge the gap between the city and community members.

    Oklahoma – Businesses across Oklahoma participated in the weekend of local. It's a yearly statewide event that encourages people to eat and shop at local businesses. According to the Miami, Oklahoma Main Street organization, 67¢ of every dollar spent at a locally owned business stays in the community, more than if spent at a national retailer.
