(KOAM) - Dive into the world of macroinvertebrates with naturalists from the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Wildcat Glades Nature Group in an exciting educational program at Wildcat Park.

Scheduled for today, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 10:30 am  to 12:30 pm, this hands-on event invites participants to learn about the fascinating life cycles of these small yet vital creatures living among the rocks in Shoal and Silver Creek.

Attendees will have the opportunity to wade knee-deep into the water to seek out various creek critters. While swimming is not part of the program, participants should be prepared to get wet and are advised to wear closed-toed shoes suitable for wading.

This program is a collaborative effort between Joplin Parks and Recreation, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Wildcat Glades Nature Group. The event will be held at the Wildcat Park Pavilion.
