The City of Joplin announces a road closure on Cox Ave.

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) -- The City of Joplin is warning drivers of roadwork on Cox Avenue beginning today, Friday, July 26.

The city says Cox Avenue closure is due to stormwater improvements. Through traffic will not be allowed due to the complete road closure; however, area residents will still have access.

Joplin estimates the closure to last around three months.
