Top 5 Plays of the Week – Week 49

JOPLIN, MO – After a week of sports, we showed off our Top 5 Plays of the Week from around the Four States area and beyond.

Play #1: Sheldon’s Aiden Bogart (One-Handed Dunk) — Sheldon’s Aiden Bogart would get a bounce pass from his teammate and would slam down the one-handed dunk. Bogart plays for the Missouri 66ers, a basketball program based in the four states area.

Play #2: Cincinnati’s Elly De La Cruz (Sliding Back-handed Catch) — Cincinnati’s Elly De La Cruz would speed over to chase down a fly ball, and ended up making an incredible sliding back-handed catch for the out.

Play #3: Jhonattan Vegas (Tap in Birdie Putt to Win PGA 3M Open) — Jhonattan Vegas was tied with Max Greyserman at 16-under, but a tap in for birdie on 18 would secure him the win. Winning the PGA 3M Open, it marked his fourth PGA win in his career, and first win in seven years.

Play #4: Kansas City’s Kyle Isbel (Diving Catch vs. Chicago) — Royals outfielder Kyle Isbel chased down a fly ball down and made an incredible diving catch to secure the out.

Play #5: Joplin’s Will Doherty To CJ Cepicky (Turns Double Play vs Fort Smith) — In their game against Fort Smith on Wednesday, second baseman Will Doherty turned a nice double play courtesy of a quick throw to CJ Cepicky over at first base. The Outlaws would go on to win the game 11-10.
