Note: This is not job advice, this is for informational purposes only. There is no guarantee you'll receive a job in this field. This is not trading advice. Investing in the cryptocurrency market comes with inherent risk. Always do your own due diligence.

Job postings in cryptocurrency are sweeping the nation, especially here in Miami. Mayor Suarez is making huge efforts to make Miami the Silicon Valley of crypto and it's working. Several companies are moving their headquarters from New York and San Francisco to this sunny city. If you've had an interest in pursuing a career in the exciting field, this post should help you get started.

    Popular careers in crypto.

The most popular crypto job is anything related to development. Software engineers are in high-demand by all crypto-related companies. If you're a software engineer and have experience coding in a popular language on the blockchain, then you shouldn't have a hard time finding a job.

Marketing and product management is also in high-demand. Sales roles are less prevalent since news about these coins and tokens spread like wildfire with simple twitter posts, but there is still a possibility in that field as well.

Are you qualified for a career in crypto?

That depends on the job requirements and the field you're looking to enter. You'll notice some of them will say you need prior experience in the crypto space. Bitcoin has been around since 2009 and was the first digital currency to go mainstream based on it's ground-breaking technology (it technically was not the first). This means you can't possibly have more than 11 years of experience. I wouldn't worry much about the industry experience for the role you're applying for. Instead, I'd focus on being genuinely passionate about blockchain, digital assets, and get caught up as quickly as possibly with current events. Read whitepapers for Bitcoin and other popular tokens and understand the true fundamentals. If you have this core foundation and believe you will find a passion for crypto, then it's essentially just like applying for another job in your field.
