    Area teams gear up for OHSAA football playoffs. Here are the matchups

    Several high school football teams from the area are set to compete in the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) playoffs this Friday, November 1. All games are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Here’s a breakdown of each matchup, with teams’ regional rankings and seeds noted.

    Division I, Region 1

    (4) Massillon Jackson (7-3) hosts (13) Brunswick (3-7).

    (5) Canton McKinley (6-4) hosts (12) Parma Normandy (3-7).

    Division II, Region 7

    • (3) Massillon Washington (7-2) hosts (14) Pataskala Licking Heights (4-6)

    • (9) Perry (5-5) will travel to (8) Columbus North (7-3).

    Division II, Region 5

    (7) Uniontown Lake (6-4) will host a local showdown against (10) North Canton Hoover (6-4), guaranteeing one area team advances.

    Division III, Region 11

    • (3) Dresden Tri-Valley (10-0) will host (14) Carrollton (7-3).

    • (6) Granville (9-1) will welcome (11) Dover (7-3).

    • (8) Jackson (8-2) hosts (9) New Philadelphia (7-3).

    Division IV, Region 13

    (4) West Branch (10-0) hosts (13) Hubbard (5-5), hoping to maintain their perfect season.

    Division IV, Region 15

    • (2) Indian Valley (10-0) hosts (15) Heath (5-5).
