Josephine County Commissioners Defund OSU Extension Service, Citing “Woke” Agenda in 4-H Program
The apparent retribution by Commissioners West and Baertschiger continues, as evidenced by today’s decision by the Josephine County Board of Commissioners to defund the OSU Extension Service and its associated 4-H programs. The commissioners have voted to slash approximately $400,000 in tax funding, citing issues with the perceived “woke” agenda of the 4-H program.
Fire danger level increases to high in Jackson, Josephine counties
MEDFORD, Ore. -- Fire danger level will move from moderate to high in Jackson and Josephine counties on Monday, which will cause more restrictions. According to a news release from the Bureau of Land Management Medford District, the change will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 1, causing "certain activities on BLM-managed lands in Jackson and Josephine counties (to) be restricted to prevent human-caused fire and reduce wildfire potential."

Police seize 2,600 plants from illegal grow site in Wolf Creek
JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. -- Police seized more than 2,600 marijuana plants at an illegal grow site in the 300 block of Sunny Glen Way in Wolf Creek. According to a news release from the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, the "primary suspect" was not at the grow site during the search. If they're found, they will be charged with unlawful manufacturing of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful appropriation of water.
Over 2K marijuana plants seized during raid at Wolf Creek illegal grow site
WOLF CREEK, Ore. – More than 2,600 marijuana plants were seized and several code violations were cited during a raid at a Wolf Creek property Tuesday. The search warrant was executed in the 300 block of Sunny Glen Way by the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET) in conjunction with Josephine County Public Health & Building Safety.
