Josephine Community Library District to get $50K for computer program
GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The Josephine Community Library District is getting a $50K grant to support its new computer basics program. The grant money comes from the State Library of Oregon and will fund the program from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 as well as paying for a digital outreach specialist to manage the program.

Josephine County workers rally for fair wages and benefits
GRANTS PASS, Ore.- Josephine county workers rallied Tuesday afternoon for fair wages and benefits. The workers, represented by Oregon AFSCME Local 3694, were outside the Anne Basker Auditorium and Josephine County Courthouse late Tuesday afternoon. The group claims despite multiple proposals, the county has not adequately addressed the union’s key demands for better wages. The union is proposing a 14% raise over three years, a 6% PERS contribution and increased medical premium contributions.

Police: Grants Pass man killed in Monday crash; speed considered 'primary factor'
JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. - Monday evening (June 3), Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 199, near milepost 16, in Josephine County. Police say a northbound Dodge Ram 1500, drven by Brandon Richard Cain, 28, of Grants Pass, failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree on the southbound shoulder.
