WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ― Kaden Thomas Orr died after he lost control of his speeding westbound Pontiac Grand Prix on Jackson Highway early Wednesday, according to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office received a 911 call about the crash at 3:24 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies found Orr, 21, of Covington, at the scene. He was the only person in the car, according to the sheriff's office.

Orr's car left the north side of the road at the curve in the road in the 5100 block of Jackson Highway. He hit a utility pole, fencing along the road and a second utility pole before the car came to a stop, according to the sheriff's office.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello said.
