PEORIA — A prank by the 2024 senior class of Richwoods High School has gone national.

The New York Post has picked up details of the prank from a story published by the Peoria Journal Star last week, in which the newspaper told the tale of how students hired a bagpipes pipe major to follow around Richwoods principal Billy Robison for an hour at school, playing non-stop.

"It was the all-time best prank," Robison told the Journal Star. "Nothing got broken, no one got hurt and no mess to clean up. I loved it."

WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio, WDEF in Chattanooga, Tenn. and other outlets around the nation picked up the story.

WSRZ-FM radio 107.9 in Coral Cove, Fla., carried the story on its digital site, writing "Talk about putting the 'NOIS'E in Illinois."

The story also has appeared with WIYY-FM in Baltimore, KDVC-FM in Columbia, Mo., KQYB-FM in La Crosse, Wis., WBAB-FM in Southhampton, N.Y., WROR-FM in Framingham, Mass., and was still spreading to more outlets on Tuesday morning.
