• If a pitcher throws 1-30 pitches, he is eligible to pitch the next day.
• If a pitcher throws 31-45 pitches, he is eligible to pitch after one day of rest.
• If a pitcher throws 46-60 pitches, he is eligible to pitch after two days of rest.
• If a pitcher throws 61-75 pitches, he is eligible to pitch after three days of rest.
• If a pitcher throws 76-115 pitches, he is eligible to pitch after four days of rest.

How many pitches can a pitcher throw in a high school game?

Here is an example of the IHSA pitch count rule this season: Illini Bluffs senior right-hander Josh Vaughn threw 89 pitches in Saturday's Class 1A regional championship game, striking out 18 in the one-hitter victory.
