During a 1910 visit to Peoria, former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt declared Grandview Drive to be "the world's most beautiful drive."

More than 100 years later, the Peoria Heights roadway's spectacular vistas of the Illinois River attract upscale home buyers. Recently, a home on Grandview Drive hit the market with a price tag of more than $1 million. Naturally, it highlights the location as a key selling point.
