Galesburg police: Man suffered multiple wounds in fatal shooting

A man was shot and killed Saturday night in Galesburg, according to the Galesburg Police Department .

Heath D. Williams Sr. was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a residence on the 1400 block of Moshier Avenue in Galesburg around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police attempted life-saving measures on Williams and he was transported to a local hospital where he later died at 11:30 p.m.

The Galesburg Police Department, Illinois State Police, Knox County Sheriff's Department and the Knox County State's Attorney's Office are investigating the shooting.
