Peoria restaurant currently closed 'due to a water issue'

A sign taped to the bright red door of Peoria's Red Lobster notes:

"Due to a water issue, We are closed today. We apologize for the inconvenience."

On Wednesday, the Journal Star called the restaurant, situated at 4625 N. Sterling Ave., but staff did not provide an expected reopening date. The restaurant remained closed on Thursday.

Earlier this year, the seafood chain closed two Illinois locations as well as dozens of others nationwide before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Peoria restaurant was not affected, however.
