    These 12 city of Peoria employees have the highest base salaries

    That also includes helping pay the salaries of the people who make those things happen. Here are the 12 highest-paid public employees in the city of Peoria, according to base salaries in the city's 2024 budgeted compensation report .

    Patrick Urich, Peoria city manager: $220,149.80

    As Peoria's city manager, which is essentially the CEO of the city, Patrick Urich is paid a salary of $220,149.80. He has the highest base salary among all city employees.

    Kimberly Richardson, assistant city manager: $200,103.25

    Kimberly Richardson, Peoria's assistant city manager, is paid a base salary of $200,103.25. She was hired in 2022 and is the city's second-highest paid employee based on base salary.

    Shawn Sollberger, fire chief: $190,084.02

    Peoria Fire Chief Shawn Sollberger earns a base salary of $190,084.02, making him Peoria's third-highest paid public employee. However, if you include other benefits, such as his public safety pension, Sollberger is Peoria's highest total compensated employee at $411,043.25.

    Hired in 2021, Peoria police Chief Eric Echevarria has the fourth-highest base salary in Peoria, $189,065.98.

    Patrick Hayes, city attorney: $179,039.75

    Patrick Hayes, the lead attorney for the city, is paid a base salary of $179,039.75. Hayes has been Peoria's corporation counsel since 2022.

    Tony Cummings, assistant fire chief: $172,803.66

    The second-highest paid member of the Peoria Fire Department is assistant chief Tony Cummings. He was promoted to assistant chief in 2023 after serving 20 years in the department. When totaling base salary and other compensation, such as public safety pensions, Cummings is Peoria's second-highest total compensated employee, bringing in $376,439.33.

    Bradley Dixon was promoted to assistant police chief in 2021. He began working with the Peoria Police Department in 2001. Dixon's base salary and other benefits such as public safety pension make him Peoria's third-highest compensated employee at $363,364.88.

    Rick Powers, public works director: $170,160.35

    Rick Powers is in charge of all of Peoria's Public Works Department, overseeing one of the largest departments in the city. He has been with Peoria since 2017.
