With "sincere gratitude" and "the heaviest of hearts," the owners of Eli's Coffee Shop have announced the closure of their Mackinaw location. The final day of service will be Sept. 6.

The company announced the closure in a Friday Facebook post.

In a statement on the company's website , owners Rachel and Weston Berchtold wrote, "We close our doors in two weeks resting in the knowledge that we were able to be a bright part of this building’s story and this community for the time we were able."

The Mackinaw location opened in 2022 at 116 S. Main St. in a building that used to be home to Heartland Bank.
