    Mapleton woman identified as victim in involuntary manslaughter case in Peoria

    The Peoria County coroner has identified the 20-year-old woman who was shot on Friday night.

    The Peoria Police Department responded to the 1400 block of South Griswold around 10:41 p.m. on Friday after receiving a report that a person had been shot .

    Nathaniel Archuleta, 18, was arrested and faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a handgun under 21 and no FOID.

    Mary Halcomb, of Mapleton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her autopsy was scheduled for Monday, according to the coroner. The shooting remains under investigation.
