Terracon Acquires Little Rock-based Harbor Environmental, Adds 38 Employees
Olathe-based Terracon announced its acquisition of Arkansas-based Harbor Environmental, Inc., to continue expanding its services to the Southeastern region. Effective immediately, Harbor’s 38 employees will join Terracon and the firm will continue to be headquartered locally as Harbor Environmental, A Terracon Company, according to a release Monday. Terracon assured the transition will be seamless for clients and will continue to work with the same Harbor teams.

Arkansas State Corvette Association Meets in Hope
A State Corvette Association met on Main Street between Tailgater’s and Hebrews 11:1 for a meet and greet on Saturday. The Association is based in Little Rock and has members from all over. They have 100 members; their membership requirements are $100 and owning a Corvette to get in. Next weekend they will be at the National Convention Center in Shreveport. Hope City Director Reginald Easter presided over the event where prizes were announced. The winners were: Willie Harris 1st Place, Ben Willie Rose 2nd Place, Billie Brooks 3rd Place, and Willie Mays 4th Place. Sharon Caldwell was given a Thank You prize for her involvement. JR Richardson from the Arklatex Corvette Club in Texarkana was a class winner. The Grand Prize of a Klipsch speaker went to Margaret McLaughlin from Big Mac’s BBQ. Camden man dies in motorcycle crash
A motorcycle crash in El Dorado left a Camden, Arkansas man dead Sunday morning. According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary, Henry Steven Williams Jr., 29, was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson north on Old Camden Road at about 10:25 a.m. when he lost control in a left turn, left the highway and struck a tree.
