JULIAETTA, ID -- People living in the town of Juliaetta can now go back home but should be ready to leave at a moment's notice due to the Gwen Fire.

Evacuation levels in Latah County have been lowered but people in Juliaetta and Kendrick could be ordered to evacuate again if conditions change.

Fire crews are still working along Highway 3 and drivers should be careful in the area.

The Gwen Fire has burned almost 28,000 acres north of Lapwai.

A community meeting will be held at Lapwai Elementary School Monday night at 6 p.m. Community members will have a chance to get the latest fire information and ask officials questions.
