Workers hurt in building collapse
Three workers were injured Thursday morning when a portion of a roof under construction collapsed in Dublin. Firefighters, police and paramedics responded to the site, where a new oil change and tire shop is being built off U.S. 80 West, between the Arby’s and Golden Corral restaurants. A large section of truss and framing for the new roof appeared to have fallen on the workers, who were taken by ambulance to nearby Fairview Park Hospital.
Pregnant Georgia girl, 16, found dead by roadside as ex-boyfriend charged with lying to police
Georgia police are investigating the death of a pregnant 16-year-old girl, identified as Mia Campos. According to the Gwinnett County police department, the teenager's body was found around 1 a.m. on Monday, July 1 when officers were called to a residential area in Loganville. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
