Say goodbye to Cayman and Finley, the most recent residents to leave Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach.

On a recent sunny day, the two turtles made their way down the beach and back home to the sea.

The Inwater Research Group in Jensen Beach brought the two subadults to LMC.

Cayman was admitted on February 6 after becoming entangled in a fishing line. This injury caused a partial amputation of his front left flipper, leaving the bone exposed. Finley arrived at LMC on April 27 with a hook embedded in his shoulder.

LMC’s hospital team administered antibiotics to both turtles and performed surgery on Cayman. Both made full recoveries.
